Team Access

NaviGator Toolkit has a teams feature that allow us to set custom access to any of the models available in the NaviGator AI suite. Additionally, teams have the ability to set budgets, rate limits, and assign users to teams. To create a new team in NaviGator Toolkit, we need the following information from you:

  • UFIT customer number
  • List of Gatorlink usernames that will need to be able to create API tokens for the team
  • Email address for the primary contact for the team
  • UF department or unit that the project should be associated with
  • List of Gatorlink that need access and will be assigned to the team
  • The name for the project or service
  • A maximum monthly budget to set for the entire team. We currently do not charge for this service but that could change in the future.
  • A list of models you would like enabled for the team.

UFIT Hosting​

To obtain a UFIT customer number, you have to become a UFIT hosting customer. Please follow the procedures located in the UF Hosting Sign Up page. You should also check with your finance department to see if you have an existing one.

Team Name​

When creating your team we use your department, unit, college, and project to create unique name. If you are a student group and would like a team created, we require departmental sponsorship.

Creating your Team​

To finish creating your team, we will need the following

  • a list of users that you would like to have access
  • a monthly recurring budget that team can spend
  • a list of the models you want access to

Choosing Models​

When Choosing Models please think about the type of data you will be working with. You can review the UF Data Classification Policy for more information. We also have a list showing what type of data each model has been approved for.

Budgets​

The team budget allows you to leverage AI without worrying about costly calls driving your usage up unexepectably. If adjustments are needed to the budget, please open a ticket with UFIT Artificial Intelligence & Platform Engineering team.
